. i've tried it before (just the mochi part, not the filling) but try and find proper japanese potato starch (katakuriko) or maybe cocoa powder and DON'T use red bean from a can. Because when i made it, i used normal potato starch and that's all i tasted. it was disgusting. also red bean from a can....disgusting lol! but the mochi part was wonderful.
the food blog itself is also lovely (and since you're pretty much in sydney, you'll find some lovely places to eat ). she posts one a day (amazing feat!) and she's also releasing a book next year
